Focus on the Future 

The Carson Center Performing Arts Endowment

The Carson Center for the Performing Arts is to enhance the quality of life in the Four Rivers region as a leader in presenting exceptional live performances and cultural experiences that are entertaining, educational, and economically beneficial for our community.

The Carson Center launched a $10 million fundraising campaign, Focus on the Future, to enlarge the center's endowment.

​

The Focus on the Future campaign secured $8.6M to fund an endowment under a two-to-one match from a local foundation. In addition to corporate solicitations, implemented a Legacy Giving component in the campaign.  The Encore Society recognizes patrons who give cash, stock, or other assets, or make irrevocable planned gifts.The Legacy Society recognized patrons who name the Carson Center as a beneficiary in a will, or other planned giving instrument.

Responsibilities 

Fundraising and Event Coordination:

​

  • Organizes and implements fundraising events

  • Implement, track, and follow up on annual, sponsorships, planned giving, other giving campaigns, and

    other department initiatives.

  • Coordinate acknowledgement letters for financial and in-kind donations

  • Coordinates monthly reporting and financial recording with the Finance Department for board reports

    and audits.

  • Research and write grants; provide timely reporting and ensure compliance as required with grant

    awards.

 

Communication and Marketing:

​

  • Manage website messaging, its content, and interactive use.

  • Implement social networking and marketing strategies.

  • Create videos and content for social media, build SEO, take photos and organize events

​

​Membership and Volunteerism:

​

  • Manage staff that will serve as coordinator of Member Organization relations:​

  • Identify, recruit, nurture, and secure new Member Organizations.

  • Supervise the standardization, improvement, and maintenance of all aspects of the volunteer

    program, including volunteer recruitment, cultivation, orientation, scheduling, retention, training, recognition, and evaluation.

    Board of Director’s Support:

  • Prepare reports, statistics, and other documents, and provide general support as needed for executive management, the Resource Development and Marketing Committees, and the Boards of Directors.

  • Help with board member events/materials/communication.

  • Keep copies of all board meeting documents in appropriate file/binders.

  • Ensure confidentiality of all privileged and proprietary information.

  • Serve as staff liaison with consultants for public relations and communications tasks.
